The First China-Korea Wireless Sensor Network Workshop (CKWSNW’08) will be hold in conjunction with the Second Chinese WSN Congress (CWSN’2008) on 13-14 October, 2008 in Chongqing, China. The CKWSNW’08 is sponsored by Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunication (CQUPT), Sunmoon University (Korea), Konkuk University (Korea), ,Information and Communication University (Korea), Yonsei University (Korea) and co-organized by Journal on Communication.

CKWSNW’08 aims to promote communications, enhance research cooperation and resource shares. This workshop will provide an international forum on wireless sensors network for researchers, developers and users from China and Korea to exchange their experiences, research results, and application cases, and discuss the challenging problem and newly emerging focuses on WSN.

Leading international experts will give special invited reports and enterprises will exhibit their new techniques. Some selected papers (in English) will be published in Journal on Communication (English Edition). Other accepted papers will be published in a special issue of Computer Science. Authors are invited to submit original papers, talks, and presentations in the broad areas of WSN theory and application. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:

  • WSN Node Technologies, including sensor node design, node Operating system, energy management, etc..
  • WSN Communication architecture and protocols, including sensor network architecture, physical layer technologies, MAC protocol, routing protocol, transport protocol, etc..
  • WSN control and management, including topology control, localization and synchronization, QoS, etc..
  • Data Management and Middleware of WSN, including data model and query language, distributed data storage methods and distributed data manipulation algorithms, data mining and analysis techniques, data fusion, middleware techniques, etc.
  • Network performance evaluation and test, including WSN evaluation, test and debug tools, emulation environment, etc.
  • Application cases in WSN.

Instructions for Paper Submission:
  1. Papers should contain original material and not be previously published, or currently submitted for consideration elsewhere.
  2. Manuscripts (in Chinese or English) in word or PDF format must include title, abstract, keywords, text, and references. Author information must include paper title, full name, company, email, address, telephone, and Fax.
  3. Manuscripts in English must be limited to 8 A4 pages (not including author information) in word format, and conform to the author guidelines of Journal on Communication (English Edition).
  4. All manuscripts will be submitted to cwsn2008@cqupt.edu.cn electronically, and include “Submit to CKWSNW’08” in the email titles.
